I've been collecting boxes to pack up some of our "junk" so that the house will show better when it officially gets put on the market in a few weeks. I've been most successful at the liquor stores. Bailey was mortified that people would think that we drink and do all that "illegal" stuff! Our new neighbors in Jacksonville might think that we are winos!
Bailey is completely dismayed! We embarrass her on a daily basis!
Avery and John Henry came to play last week. John Henry took a nap and the girls played outside ALL afternoon! The wind and the static from the trampoline gave the girls an interesting new look:

We made a fort underneath the trampoline and the kiddos enjoyed drawing.

Zeus and Parish came over to play. I only took pictures of Zeus. Sorry Parish! :)
It began storming outside so Zeus had to put on his emergency poncho!
What a cutie! I think he might get some swimming trunks in the near future so he can visit us at the beach this summer! What a chick magnet!

You're going to LOVE living so close to the beach - we spent the day there on Sunday and it was fabulous!!!! Your doggie is definitely going to need some swim trunks! :) Glad the packing is going well...it's funny how the alcoholic boxes make the best packing boxes!
Julington Creek is not an area I'm personally familiar with, BUT, I have heard good things about it and the San Jose area is jam-packed with everything you'll need from shopping, close interstate access, great public AND private schools and really good churches to choose from! I actually do a lot of my shopping in San Jose at a big organic food store so am in that area at least once a week! If you're looking for Church of Christ, there are lots of good ones to choose from. Our family attends a non-denominational congregation called Christ's Church - they have one in Mandarin (which would be on "ya'lls side of the bridge") and they also have a campus that is 2 minutes from our home - Christ's Church of Fleming Island. I'll do some research though on some Church of Christ's in the San Jose area and see if I can get you some info! And to answer your question quickly as to how I handle being so far from home....it's called "unlimited cell phone minutes" and high DSL connection on the internet - I talk to my mom multiple times a day and use my blog and email to keep in close contact with friends and family! When I visit AR, I stay a minimum of 2 weeks to make sure we're getting a really good visit in! Hope this helps - email me anytime if you have any questions at all about realtors, churches, neighborhoods, ect! I know you're nervous and honestly, the first few weeks might be really tough for you....but it WILL get easier and I think you'll love it here!

Julington Creek is pretty similiar to Fleming Island. The schools are great, the housing is great and the over all area is very nice. I'm not sure what side of town your husband will be working on but I would say the worst place for rush hour traffic is Blanding Blvd (Old Orange Park) and San Jose Blvd (coming out of Mandarin and Julington Creek).

Hi, you don't know me, but I came across your blog by way of Yvette Hostetter's blog.
I will chime in with my two sense...JULINGTON CREEK is a great place to live. We have been in JCP for almost 3 years and we love it. We came here becauase the Duval county schools leave some to be desired!
I could also recommend a great OB/GYN, but am not sure he would be the best considering your current situation. Yvette and Trayc would definately have a better perspective there!
