Celebrate and a surgery date...

Let's get the less pleasant news out of the way first:

Paxton will have surgery on his spinal cord on September 9th at 8:30 am at Wolfson Children's Hospital here in Jacksonville. Dr. Philipp Aldana will be performing the surgery. PLEASE begin praying DAILY for the surgeon and for our family as we prepare mentally and emotionally for this surgery. I feel sick even typing about it for now, so I choose to move on to the celebrate part of the post...

August 8th we celebrated Greg's 37th birthday (boy is he old!!!! HA! HA!).

On August 17th Greg and I celebrated 13 years of marriage. We celebrated the same way as last year...with the kids at Cheesecake Factory, except this year it was a party of 5 instead of a party of 4!!!

Enjoy the pics!

This week we also celebrated my brother Parish and sis in law Vera getting to meet Paxton for the first time. We also enjoyed spending time with our furry nephew, Zeus! They left this morning to head back to Arkansas. We miss them already!

It's hard to believe that school starts Monday for Bailey. I'll post the mandatory 1st day of school pictures sometime next week. I also need to catch up on our 2nd trip to Daytona and my parent's visit. I'll get right on that in all my free time! :)

XOXO,
Shannon

Shannon-
I am related to Jennifer Joyner. (Her husband Stephen is my cousin). Anyhow, my daughter, Madeline, will be having surgery for a tethered spinal cord on September 14th so she gave me the link to you blog. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers as I can definitely empathize with the emotions and stress you are going through right now. ~Holly Fletcher

Happy Birthday to Greg, Happy Anniversary to both of you, and I'll be praying for Paxton. I hope everything goes well.
My kids are enjoying school this year. Emily's in 3rd grade, and Ethan's in kindergarten.
